QPR signed Adam Bolder on a free transfer from Derby County on January 27th 2007.

The no-nonsense midfielder penned a two and a half year deal at Loftus Road and in doing so, linked up with former Derby boss John Gregory.

Bolder's impact was immediate in W12, as he galvanised a Rangers side heading in the wrong direction with a series of bustling displays in the heart of the R's midfield engine room.

Career

Bolder began his career at hometown club Hull City, whom he joined as a trainee.

The no-nonsense midfielder made his Tigers debut in January 1999, when he entered the fray as a second half substitute in Hull's impressive 4-0 victory against Hartlepool United.

The talented teenager went on to make a further 22 appearances in all competitions for the Tigers, before moving on to Derby County in a £90,000 transfer in March 2000.

He made his Rams debut as a late substitute in their stunning 1-0 win at Old Trafford two months later, before bagging his first goals in a Derby shirt against Grimsby in August 2002.

Bolder was an integral part of John Gregory's Derby side during the 2002/03 campaign and in total made 181 appearances in all competitions for the Rams, scoring 11 goals.
