Jamaican international Damion Stewart signed a three year contract with the R's in the summer of 2006.
After a steady, if unspectacular start, Stewart was a virtual ever-present at the heart of the R's defence last season.
The busting defender was just one game shy of reaching 50 appearances during his maiden season in W12, contributing a valuable goal against West Bromwich Albion in the R's 3-3 draw at the Hawthorns in October.
Career
The no-nonsense defender spent the 2005/06 season on loan at Bradford City from Caribbean Club champions Harbour View.
Stewart - who has amassed 30-plus appearances for his country and is nicknamed 'Stew Peas' by the Reggae Boyz - is an athletic and tenacious defender with poise, speed and an effective no-nonsense style of defending.
