The hardworking front-man penned a three year contract at Loftus Road and immediately stamped his undoubted class on proceedings in W12.
Blackstock bagged 14 goals in all competitions, linking up effectively with R's Player of the Year Lee Cook.
His reward arrived in the shape of the R's Young Player of the Year award at the Club's end of season showcase.
Career
A scorer of three goals in just seven first team starts for the Saints in 2005/06, Blackstock spent time on loan with Derby County and Plymouth Argyle during his three year spell on the South coast.
