QPR clinched the free transfer signing of Danny Nardiello in the summer of 2007.
The former Manchester United ace agreed a two year deal in W12, despite late interest from Championship rivals Norwich City.
Nardiello, who scored seven goals in his final nine appearances for Barnsley last season, turned down an improved deal with the Tykes to link up with the R's.
Career
A product of the Youth Academy at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Nardiello joined English giants Manchester United in October 1999.
The Coventry-born midfielder, whose father Donato was a Welsh international in the late 1970's, made his Red Devils debut in November 2001, against Arsenal.
Despite showing promise in United's second string, Nardiello failed to make the breakthrough to first team level at Old Trafford and was eventually farmed out on loan to Barnsley in season 2003/04, where he scored seven goals in just 16 appearances.
After impressing the Tykes faithful with his goalscoring prowess and endeavour, Nardiello returned to Oakwell on a season long loan for the 2004/05 campaign.
Unfortunately, injuries restricted him to just 30 games in all competitions, during which period he scored a further seven goals.
Nevertheless, after his release from Old Trafford, Barnsley swooped to secure the strikers' services and he went on to score an impressive 34 goals in 108 appearances.
Nardiello made his full Welsh debut in May 2007, entering the fray as a second half substitute for John Toshack's men, in their international friendly draw with New Zealand.
