Rangers copped a rocket from Luigi De Canio after nearly chucking away a 3-0 lead.

Akos Buzsaky, Rowan Vine and Martin Rowlands put Rangers in charge. But Ben Burgess and Stephen McPhee hit back as Blackpool left the Londoners sweating.

Boss De Canio rapped: "I am quite upset as what could have been a triumph turned into a suffered win.

"The play-offs? Right now I am not looking at them. I am more interested that my team plays well."

Buzsaky volleyed the opener on 11 minutes, Vine finished off a 40-yard run with No 2 just before the break and Rowlands slid in the third just after.

Burgess was given too much time and space to fire home on the hour and McPhee netted after Kaspars Gorkss nodded a 73rd-minute corner back across the goal.

But Blackpool boss Simon Grayson admitted: "We left ourselves with far too much to do.

"We showed great character but when you give any team a three-goal head-start you are always up against it."

Rangers kept their slim play-off hopes alive by ending Blackpool's fivematch unbeaten run at Loftus Road.

Luigi De Canio's men are now eight points off the top six with eight games to go after this comfortable victory courtesy of goals from Akos Buzsaky, Rowan Vine and Martin Rowlands. Blackpool are one point behind - but barely competed last night until Ben Burgess and Kaspers Gorkss gave them hope.

Buzaky's goal on 11 minutes was lucky but Rowan Vine struck with class five minutes before the break.

And it was Vine who set up Martin Rowlands just after the break.

QPR boss Luigi De Canio saluted Akos Buzsaky after the midfielder's amazing strike sent his side into the top half of the Championship with a 3-2 win over Blackpool.

Buzsaky helped himself to his ninth goal since joining Rangers before Rowan Vine and Martin Rowlands got in on the act to put them 3-0 up.

The Hungarian was backpedalling as Patrick Agyemang's cross swirled towards him but somehow conjured up a deft volley which looped over Paul Rachubka, almost in slow motion, and nestled into the back of the net.

Ben Burgess pulled one back for the ever-willing Seasiders, and Stephen McPhee ensured a jittery finish with a second.

But De Canio's men held on to secure only their second win in seven matches and clamber up to 12th - still with a slim chance of the play-offs.

Buzsaky was adamant the goal was no fluke, insisting: "Yes, I meant it - did it not look like it?"

But De Canio was unsure, although he was quick to praise his talented playmaker's impact at Loftus Road.

"Akos is a player of immense quality - he often tries those things in training," he said.

"Whether he meant it I don't know but even if he didn't it's all right. He is a good player - universal - and he adapts very well."

Co-owners Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore were joined by billionaire investor Lakshmi Mittal in the directors' box, while other notable visitors to blustery Shepherd's Bush included the King of Ghana and Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon.

The Bernabeu chief may not have come away armed with the name of his next Galactico, but two mid-table sides served up an entertaining game nonetheless.

De Canio was less impressed, however, and added: "I'm quite upset because what should have been a triumph turned into a stuttered win.

"I said to the players that this slows down the growth of our confidence and self-belief."

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson felt individual errors cost his side, although he was delighted with the second-half comeback which left De Canio chewing his nails.

Rowlands struck two minutes after the break, but Blackpool never laid down and had Burgess and McPhee strikes to show for a stirring fightback.

"When you give any team a two-goal start you are up against it," said Grayson. "But at half-time I thought we were still in the game.

"At half-time we said if we could get the next goal we'd be right back in it, but unfortunately we didn't.

"Individual errors cost you at any level and that is what happened tonight. But I'm pleased with the attitude and the character of the players.

"At the start of the season if you'd given us this amount of points with the amount of games we have left, we'd have taken it."
