Richard Johnson is to leave the Club following the termination of his contract by mutual consent.

The 30-year-old Australian has taken the decision to seek  challenges elsewhere having seen his first team opportunities limited this season.

He has made only seven appearances for the Superhoops in 2004-05, the last of which came in the Carling Cup, against Aston Villa in September.

His last league appearance was made whilst on loan with MK Dons last month.

Johnson originally signed in February having completed a short spell with Stoke City.

He spent the bulk of his career with Watford, enjoying 11 years with the Vicarage Road club before a solitary substitute appearance for Colchester prior to his move to the Britannia Stadium.

Following his arrival at Loftus Road, Johnson made 11 appearances for Rangers in their promotion season and played the full 90 memorable minutes at Hillsborough.

A combative and hard working midfielder he played his part in a campaign that will live long in the memory and he leaves the Club on December 31st with the good wishes of everyone at Loftus Road.
