First Team coach Tim Breacker steps in to the breach in the absence of Ian Holloway this weekend and is looking forward to renewing hostilities with Cardiff City.

Alongside fellow coaches Gary Waddock and Gary Penrice, Breacker has taken training this week and will pick the team for the weekend's fixture.

Ollie's medical team have advised him to stay at home and Breacker is more than happy to hold the fort in the absence of the Rangers manager.

Speaking to QPR World he said: "Ollie won't be here and we'll be picking the team. He's not in a fit state and he's not up to that responsibility - but he knows we're more than capable of doing that.

"We know the players and it will be no problem at all. Ollie's health is paramount, these are his wishes and we respect that."

If supporters wonder how three coaches can settle on one team selection they should not worry. Breacker admits that the decision has been a straightforward one and team discussions have been perfectly harmonious.

He said: "We haven't had any disagreements yet and there won't be any. For this game there aren't any grey areas - we know what the team will be.

"And we also know that no matter who is playing they will be up for it."

Breacker believes that the players will little motivation ahead of the game against Cardiff.

Not only will they hope to exorcise the ghost of last weekend's collapse, they also have some unfinished business with their play-off final conquerers.

The determination and energy will be there but Breacker knows that, with a fiery encounter on the cards, cool-headed focus will be just as important.

"The boys are upbeat and they can't wait to put Saturday behind them. We beat Wigan the week before and I'm sure they'll be fine. This is a great set of lads with a great spirit and we want to keep things going.

"But how we go about it is very important. We've had situations in the past when the players have been wound up and we've learned from that. There's no way we'll let that happen on Saturday."
