Jake Cole has now completed the formalities of his three month loan move to Oxford United and will stay at the Kassam Stadium until Saturday 18th October.

The 22 year-old goalkeeper, who is yet to concede a goal in his two friendly outings with the U's, today (Thursday) dotted the i's and crossed the t's on his move to the Blue Square Conference outfit.

"I've enjoyed the first two games and I've kept two clean sheets which I'm happy with," said Cole.

"It's nice to be playing some competitive games. I've not been tested too much as yet, but I'd like to show people what I can do by making a few saves.

"We've got Manchester United and Portsmouth coming up in pre-season and I'm really looking forward to pitting my wits against two fantastic sides."

Regular U's number one Billy Turley underwent a shoulder operation in the summer and is set to be sidelined for the start of the season, allowing Cole the opportunity to gain some valuable match action.

Cole added: "I've been sent out on loan to play regular football and that's what I'm looking forward to here."
