Antonio German's stunning strike at West Ham has been voted Goal of the Season for the Under-18's by you - the supporters.

Many R's fans nominated their favourite effort through www.qpr.co.uk and it was German's sensational half-volley that came out on top, closely followed by Romone Rose, who scored an exceptional volley against Gillingham.

Youth Team Manager Steve Brown told www.qpr.co.uk: "I am really pleased for Antonio. It was an exceptional goal against quality opposition.

"The way he managed to shrug off his opponent before getting his shot away was excellent.

"Antonio is only 15, and he is a player I am really excited about. The way he stepped above his age group and did so well for the U18s this season was fantastic.

"He took it all in his stride, and that's testament to him. I believe he has what it takes to go all the way."

Brown, who guided his youngsters to league title success, admits choosing the ten nominations wasn't easy.

"There have been some great goals from the lads this year," he added.

"Danny Magurie scored a brilliant goal against Southend, and if that match had been filmed it would definitely have been one of the nominations.

"Romone's against Gillingham was fantastic, and Chris Arthur scored a couple of great free-kicks too.

"It was difficult to pick the top ten, but I am delighted for Antonio. Hopefully he - and the rest of the lads - will now kick on."

Congratulations to Antonio.
