Rowan Vine will spend the next 48-72 hours in Hospital, after successfully undergoing an operation last night (Thursday).

The 25 year-old fractured his left leg in training yesterday and was rushed straight to Hospital, where X-rays confirmed the extent of the injury.

Head Physio Paul Hunter spoke exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk this morning, commenting: "Rowan had surgery last night and the surgeon who carried out the operation was very pleased with it.

"He had a nail inserted down his tibia, which gives the fracture support. This gives the fracture the best possible chance of healing."

Hunter added: "Whilst Rowan is obviously still slightly shaken by the events of the last 24 hours, he is coming to terms with the injury now and is already looking ahead to his rehabilitation"
