The race for the golden boot stepped up a notch, as Akos Buzsaky, Rowan Vine and Martin Rowlands were each on target in the R's 3-2 victory against Blackpool.
In the presence of the Clubs three major investors - Flavio Briatore, Bernie Ecclestone and Lakshmi Mittal - as well as the King of Ghana and Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon, Buzsaky's ninth of the season set the tone, before Vine made it two with a fine drilled effort - his sixth of the campaign - in the 35th minute.
Rowlands slammed home his sixth of the season to make it 3-0 early in the second half, and although Ben Burgess (61) and Stephen McPhee (73) set up a grandstand finish, Rangers held on and propelled themselves into the top half of the table for the first time this season.
In the only change from Saturday's 2-1 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday, Luigi De Canio welcomed Fitz Hall back from a groin injury, at the expense of Damion Stewart.
The Seasiders included former Rangers defender Ian Evatt, but there was no place in the 16 for experienced hit-man Paul Dickov.
After a lacklustre opening, the match sprung into life in the tenth minute, courtesy of another sublime Buzsaky goal.
Arriving on to Patrick Agyemang's cross, the Magical Magyar cleverly adjusted his body before craftily lofting a deft volley beyond the stranded Paul Rachubka and in off the underside of the bar.
Rather than building on their lead, Rangers crept back into their shells, although in truth, they were rarely troubled at the other end of the pitch, as Blackpool were all too often guilty of over-playing in the middle third.
Undeterred, Vine - who had enjoyed little joy on the left wing for the lion's share of the half - exploded into the box in the 40th minute before firing a low left footed drive into the bottom corner.
It was a textbook finish from the former Birmingham City man and buoyed by their second goal, the R's went in search of a match-winning third, as Buzsaky forced Rachubka into two full-length saves in a matter of minutes before the break.
Blackpool's travelling faithful were made to wait until the first minute of the second half to see their side muster a shot on target.
Gary Taylor-Fletcher shot weakly into the palms of Lee Camp, and when his quick throw found Vine, the R's launched a blistering counter-attack.
Vine ran the entire length of the left flank before squaring to Agyemang, who having realised the opportunity had gone for himself, unselfishly toe-poked the ball into the path of the roaming Rowlands, who passed the ball into the back of the net from the edge of the six-yard box.
Blackpool weren't about to lie down and accept defeat though and they were rewarded for their improved second half display when substitute Ben Burgess slammed the ball home from an acute angle, after the R's back four afforded the cumbersome striker the freedom of the 18-yard box.
Evatt blasted a volley high and wide six minutes later, while at the other end, Buzsaky forced Rachubka to scramble the ball wide for a corner, after the Hungarian midfielder let fly from distance.
The scoring wasn't over though, as Kaspars Gorkss rose tallest to meet Kiegan Parker's corner kick and McPhee was in the right place, at the right time, to glance the ball home.
Rowlands almost restored the two-goal buffer when he fired a fearsome strike inches wide 11 minutes from time, but it mattered little, as Rangers held on for another crucial home victory.
